    Nice kit!
The old battery in my P3 swelled up, so I bought a new phone, but figured it was worth $20 to try to fix the old phone too, so I bought this kit, near the low end of the price spectrum for such things. And, it’s a nice, complete kit. The included tools are nicer than I would have expected (I didn’t used them all, because the old swelled battery had opened the case for me!) There are no instructions, but I used the online ifixit guide, and things went pretty smoothly. The phone is working, charged properly, and seems to be lasting about the same time as the original battery. (The other measure of replacement batteries – how long it continues to work well – happens on too long a timescale for a review. But: so far, so good. I’m quite pleased!

Nice kit and includes tons of tools
The repair was pretty straight forward after watching the process on youtube. I was able to replace the battery and reseal the phone (adhesive is included). The oly issue is that the phone stopped playing video in apps after the battery replacement. I suspect a damaged ribbon cable from the screen is the issue. That has nothing to do with the kit and more the risk of repairing yourself.

    The kit I would get.
This is probably the most complete Pixel 6a battery replacement kit I could find with a quick search through amazon.Pros:-Everything in the picture is provided and is almost everything you need. I replaced my battery using only this kit, a youtube video, and 1 other item, thermal paste.-This kit includes the correct screw driver (T3), I saw other similar kits with complaints that the correct screw driver was not included.-This kit also include an LCD screen adhesive if you choose to use it, I did not use it, but other kits I saw did not seem to provide any type or screen adhesive option for when you reassemble the phone.Light Cons:-The instructions provided notes that you will need thermal paste when reassembling your phone. It wasn’t obvious that I would need this or I would have purchased these items together. I ended up running to a local store and picking up Corsair TM30 for about $8, I think any thermal paste should do, you can find it in the computer section. (As A side note, I don’t believe the other kits I saw mentioned the thermal paste either, so I can’t ding them too much for it, at least they mentioned it in the instructions).-The instructions do not cover the steps to reassemble the phone; however I would highly recommend finding a pixel 6a battery replacement video or two on youtube and watching them prior to starting the process. The video in conjunction with the paper instruction will be far more helpful.Items of note/tips:-The screws are tiny and some are shorter than others; have a system of laying out the screws in the order you took them out so your can reapply them in the same order. I used the groove of the box this kit came in.- There might be a clear plastic strip around the battery that you can use to “saw” back and forth to loosen the adhesive. I would recommend this instead of trying to heat up the battery as some videos’ suggest.-The kit did not provide adhesive for the new battery, some say you should not reuse the adhesive that is left behind, but that’s what I did and I think it will be fine.-Don’t forget to apply a small amount of thermal paste. The video I watched didn’t mention it. The paper instructions show you where.-The kit provided a screen shaped sort of sticky tape adhesive for the screen when reassembling. Since the instructions did not cover how to use it, I didn’t use it. I found that the residual glue was enough to hold it together. I don’t think my screen will fall off because I keep it in an Otterbox case. Just remember it will no longer be water proof, it’s unlikely it will be water proof no mater what you do. As a note, some state you should not reuse the residual glue. If you like, you can purchase B7000 glue, or doubleside tape for LCD screens and use that after cleaning off the old glue, I would just warn that cleaning of the old glue seems dangerous as the plastic lip of the screen is thin and the screen can be easily damaged when trying to clean off the old glue. I just didn’t risk it. Replacement screens are about $150 to $200 dollars and replacement phones are even more. All in all, the kit worked well and was all I needed, save the thermal paste I purchased separately. I tested it and my phone does turn on, however as the charge on the new battery is low I am charging my phone now. I will post an update if I have any problems.***Disclaimer: This is not advise, just some tips I found while researching how to do this. I’m not responsible for any damage you cause to your phone. I did this because my phone was basically useless as my phone suddenly no longer held a charge and had to be connected to a charger at all times to work. Not ideal for a “mobile” phone. The battery was swollen when I dissembled it. Point is, I didn’t mind if I ruined it, because it was either try this or buy a new one. The process is do-able but it is difficult. I also miss the days when you could just pull of the back cover and replace the dang battery.

    Battery Died Within Two Weeks
As the headline states, this battery died within two weeks of receiving and replacing the old battery. Can’t return it because I can’t open the phone in order to can’t a replacement. Thus, I’m stuck with a defective product.

    So far – so good.
If you have never taken a phone apart – the pixel 3a may not be the best to start on. But I had no problem getting it taken apart after warming the phone. The battery itself seems great. No problems.

    Perfect fit and great instructions
I was having issues with my Pixel 5. I really like my phone but my battery was dying after 2 to 3 hours without even being touched and the original battery decided to swell, pushing my screen off. As the last ditch effort I decided I’m going to try this battery and it completely brought my phone back to new working condition if not better. Even if I’m playing with my phone, watching videos, playing games or whatever else I want to do it seems to last almost all day. The kit comes with great instructions and everything that you’re going to need to do the job and be happy with the results. I have never replaced a battery in a phone that was sealed, with these instructions I was able to take it apart replace the battery and get it back together within a half an hour. If you need a battery I highly recommend this one. This is an all-inclusive kit, it includes the battery, tools, new seals and great instructions. I highly recommend

Worked, fits phone, instructions lacking, screwdriver sucked
The screwdriver was bad, I used a real one I got with a kit of security bit drivers. The spudger is also not sharp, so its no good at scraping glue, but is very good for prying. The battery had 3% charge when installed, I think this is a bad sign for some kinds of Lithium batteries, it will take weeks before I know if this is a good battery or not.The instructions missed a lot of details, so here are some helpful hints:1: You need to remove the old glue to get a sturdy joint with the new glue. The best way to do this is wet 2 inches with a Q tip and isopropyl alcohol, then scrape with a spudger. Repeat 10 or so times and its clean. Wet, scrape, wet, scrape, wet, scrape in a cycle. Make sure its very wet during the scrape phase or the glue wont come off. You have to wet it between cycles because the scraping removes the alcohol.2: To apply the new tape, peel the white section off just the thin part (the part that stays on the phone). Take out the window for the camera. Then put the whole solid rectangle down, having the tape whole makes it easier to align. Then use the spudger to stick down the tape where it is supposed to stay. After its stuck, peel the blue backing off. The parts you don’t peel the white backing from come off with the blue backing.3: Check the ifixit website for tips on the screws, the screws look the same, but are different. Also, use the isopropyl alcohol to help get the battery tape off, its stuck down there good.

Battery power back up to 1.5 days on Pixel3. Just over 4 years on original battery. It WAS tough to defeat the adhesive Google used for the back panel, even tho I have a digital heat gun… it was STILL really tough to get in. Once in however, changing the battery is super easy with this kit. I’ve never replaced a battery in a phone before. Placement of the new adhesive sticker to close it all up again at the end IS tricky to get aligned… but that IS the process… so be patient and get it right. I charged and ran down the battery as prescribed and end result is full battery mAh usability.

I did have to order this 3 times to get one that works. First one died at 49% lasting only 2 hours in the phone while my son played games.2nd battery would only charge to 70% then a week after it only gave a white battery on a black screen and couldn’t use phone at all. When plugged into the wall it would just keep boot looping.3rd battery is in now charged from 2% to 100 in about 4 hours . I’ll let u know if I have problems after month. So far so good. Also vendor refunded very quickly when original 2 didn’t work . Thank you

I purchased this kit for my Pixel 4. The toolkit came with everything I needed to pry open my phone and replace the battery, with the exception of a hair dryer. I used my own to heat up the back and it works just fine.Any reviews about people messing up the battery replacement or finding it difficult are just incompetent. Sorry but it’s true. I watched 1 YouTube video and followed instructions to the letter and I managed to replace it first try. It took me around 15 minutes. Ggez, git guud people. The battery itself is amazing and works really well. Of course, you would need to select the right phone model and make sure your Android version is compatible. For me, an Android 12 is compatible with the battery for my Pixel 4.The service representative from Viimon was also quite helpful and very informative in answering my questions about the product. They always responded in under 20 hours. I was curious about the differences between Android 12 and Android 13 and s/he was able to provide informative responses.Overall reliable company and product. Just read carefully, follow instructions, take your time if needed. They literally provide you with everything you need to succeed with the installation for under $30.

My phone is alive again! The kit has everything you need to replace the battery (except for the heating gun/hair dryer). It can be a bit tricky to open the phone but overall it was better then I was expecting. My only issue is that the instructions that came with the kit are not very clear, I had to check online for more guidance. It’s been a week and my phone is working fine.Update: 3 months and the battery stopped working.

Less than 5 months operating life. No idea what went wrong but phone just went from working to nothing at all. I thought back over what had changed recently and the only thing was the battery upgrade. Recovered old battery from recycling (good thing I’m slow) and badabing…Pixel 3 is up and running. For fun (and because I’m a bear for punishment) I switched the VIimon battery back in. No go. So pretty sure its battery failure. If I had done this review in April I would have given 4.5. Installed easily and performed well. Until it didn’t. Seems like others had better luck than I. You pay your dime…
