Working great after 1 month
I have bought many other competing brands of batteries for our Dysons. Those others had issues ranging from fitment to swelling (could not turn off until battery cooled off after it was completely discharged) when we ran the vac long enough to vac a 9X12 rug. Recently bought 2 more based on experience with Powerextra batteries I have installed in our 5+ years old Dyson vacs. These appear to have the same or better longevity than the OEM batteries + do not have the same fitment and/or swelling issues other brands have. Recommend.

The original new battery that I was sent from Powerextra had a lower capacity than my used Dyson battery!I contacted Powerextra and they quickly sent a replacement. The new battery seems to be much better. Maybe the first battery was from a bad batch? I do appreciate the professional service from this company and how they want to make things right for the customer.Original Review below:I ordered this replacement battery for my Dyson cordless vacuum in December of 2022. The original battery had degraded enough that my wife and I felt it was time for a new battery. I purchased this replacement battery after reading the many positive reviews. Once I installed the new battery, my wife took the vacuum out for a “test drive” and said that the new battery had the same run-time as the old battery! Not what I expected to hear! I decided to continue to use the battery since I had purchased other replacement batteries for laptops and there is a “break-in” process for new lithium-ion batteries. This involves charging the new battery to 100%, then discharging it to 10% and repeating this process a few times. Well, this didn’t work and the capacity of the replacement battery remained poor. Beware!

Great replacement battery for our Dyson V8 Animal. Has original screw holes and fits well. Slightly firm charging dock and plug doesn’t fit seamlessly right away, but a month in it’s been great.Power doesn’t seem all that different but the battery life is amazing. Our 5 year old battery would die immediately when using Max Power and would only last 10 minutes on standard. This replacement lasts as long as you can withstand the heat of the motor. Finished the whole house with a mix of max and standard. I’d recommend this as a replacement for any factory battery. Don’t freak out when you put it into the snug wall charger, it’s fine and works great!! One detail note, it has the same 3 led indicator lights as the original battery, which is nice to determine battery life left.I haven’t ran out of juice yet and we just dragged out our dying Christmas Tree out the front door with needles dropping faster than candy at a parade. The battery lasted until the last needle was eliminated! It’s okay, when you’re done, raise it to your lips and blow the smoke from the barrel. You won…

Replacement battery for Dyson V8 Animal
Easy to install, charged up fully a few hours, was ready to use. I have used it several times at long periods of time. Still holding a good charge. Glad I found this product to replace the original battery. Comes with two filters as well. Glad I found this at a great price and something I could install myself.
