Makes a noticable difference
I have been running my Winix 5500-2 on high every single day, 24 hours a day, since March 2019. I don’t replace these filters as much as I should, so despite cleaning the washable filter regularly, the build up in the main cloth filter actually slows down the fan after a while. I installed this new filter refill kit and the fan became very noticeably louder (in a good way) and worked better. I had no issues at all installing the new filter kit, it fit perfectly with no effort at all. I highly recommend this product.I also recommend Winix air purifier products in general, this is my second unit that I have running 24/7 for many years with no issues at all. Pricey but fits and works best in the Winix unit
After 9 months of 24/7 running, the filter change light came on. I noticed the airflow was also less than when new. I’ve blown out the HEPA filter several times when cleaning the screen but the HEPA filter has eventually got too clogged. The fan side of the filters is perfectly clean. So, they work very well.It looks like a 6-month change cycle is going to be best our house with 2 dogs and 1 cat!.The filters price is too high IMHO, especially if they are now to be changed every 6 months. Hence the 4 Star rating. That’s the only thing I can fault with this WINIX air purifier system, other than the fact that the bright LED’s can’t be turned off manually.

Essential for healthy air after smoke from fire damage – please read all the review
I bought one of the Winix machines and several refill filters. During normal times the filter replacements were needed about every 4 to 6 months. We live in a high rise & had a fire 6 floors above us. Our residence was filed with smoke and water. After the professional disaster recovery company finished their work there were still smoke odors. I bought 2 more of the Winix machines and ran them full time. The air filters needed to be replaced after 2 weeks, and that was expected – they were full of air borne smut and debris that would not exist if a fire had not happened. Of course I replaced the filters and kept the Winix machines running. Four weeks after starting the air filtering with the Winix machines and new replacement air filters we hired an EcoSystem Environmental company to check the air in our residence, to see if it was harmful to our health. The air samples were sent to a mold lab for analysis, in addition to a sample of “fresh air” from our terrace. When the results came back, our air measurements were better than the “fresh” air outside. The measurement of the air was for 8 different air born fungal structures, smut, rust and non specified spores. On a scale of 1 to 5000, our bedroom score was 340 and our living room was 730; exceptionally low under any condition. The “fresh” air on the terrace was 4,100. I attribute this outstanding result in part to the professional disaster repair company and even more so to the Winix machine and air filters. Yes, the professional environmental air sample measurement was expensive, but our health was our overriding concern and given the same situation again I would do the testing. That said, I strongly recommend that anyone living in a post fire environment use the Winix machines and filters. We will continue to use them after the restoration of our residence because they are an essential component of living in a healthy environment.

Even though it sais to fit Winix Zero Pro in the description, it doesn’t! There’s literally 1-2 centimetres difference, so no fit.

Well packaged, look just like the filters that came with the machine. Excellent. Easy to change. Only negative and this applies to any air purifierâs filters…the filters air expensive! Searching around this was the best price being offered. The charcoal filter can be washed so it should last for a year.
