Good small space vac bot!
This bot isn’t as smart as my neato but it was also 1/4 the cost and perfect for what I wanted. It cleans the sunken living room where most of the pets hang out, and it does that job admirably.If you have a robot vac you learn to pick up fluff from stuff animals the dogs rip up, and cables etc. Once you to that this lil guys will handle the vacuuming.He isn’t a genius. He turns around and goes at an angle when he hits an obstacle, but it’s decent coverage of the room, and it picks up the pet hair and dust and small stuff like leaves etc that come in from the yard.The brush looks super sturdy and OMG it is so easy to empty and clean. I LOVE the fact that you can easily access the brush from the top. Hair gets trapped there and I have to empty and clean the brush area after each run, so that makes the job easy. I think it handles pet hair really well, but again… I am only cleaning a single, low pile carpeted room with it.I think this is a killer bot at this price point. It wouldn’t handle the rest of the house, but if you have a small space this will be fine. I am a fan!Also, the app was pretty easy to work with. It makes scheduling a breeze. It USUALLY makes it back to home base to recharge on its own. Gets confused sometimes, but mostly all goes without a hitch.Added June 2020:About 8mos in and still going strong. Love this little guy. All seems to be running like new. Picks up a ton of hair.

Not bad for price
I have one upstairs thatâs from another icompany and this one is comparable to the original. Suction not too bad at all. Noise level is about the same if not a little quieter. Drawbacks, battery doesnât last as long. Even when not in max suction mode. Collector bin is smaller than the icompany brand and fills fast. App is ok. A lot of room for improvement on that front. There is now locate function on app nor notification from app when stuck or didnât return to charge. Wish it would make beeping noise every 30 minutes when it doesnât go back to charger. Have kids do a search and rescue since it probably got stuck on kids toys. All in all, weâre pleased for the price we paid. Saved over hundred bucks from icompany similar model. We might just go up to next model since it has more of a pattern cleaning apposed to random cleaning patterns. Wife likes the fact that the cleaning tool has a spot to store inside the unit. No need to locates the cleaning tool as it is already on unit. Very handy when cleaning out the long hair the girls have in our household.

Junk. Wouldn’t recommend at all.
Absolute junk with even worse customer service. Had this groove for 2 months then it just self destructed and customer service for any warranty is non existant. Several calls and never an actual live human to correspond with. Multiple emails to the email provided by the booklet and app. Runs into walls, sometimes hard. No specific pattern for cleaning is annoying and non efficient but I knew it was that way to start. The unit ran 30min a day for less than 2 months before after one collision w the wall it started making a very loud noise that never quit. Sounded like an internal issue. Unit still worked but was so loud I only had it run when I wasn’t home. After 2.5 months it lost almost all suction at random. In an odd coincidence on the way back to charger on the same run it smacked into a cabinet and it’s loud noise issue went away. I fully cleaned the unit and let it charge. Ever since that day it is very quiet and sucks up almost nothing at all. I have tried multiple times to contact customer ervice with no response at all. I purchased from the manufacturer’s store here on Amazon in late Sept. Started using it in October and by the end of Dec it was worthless. I have already purchased another robo vac from a different manufacturer and am very happy w it so far. I was reminded by Alexa that I had not left a review for the item so I am doing so now. DO NOT BUY! Terrible customer service, junk product in my case. Have read reviews of it being great others of it being OK and some of it being terrible. I should have headed the bad reviews because I got a major lemon and wouldn’t recommend risking it.

You can live without a robot vacuum
I bought it to clean after my birds. It failed badly. I kept it anyway. Probably not worth it for the money. Unless you get it very cheap.Here are pros and cons.Pros:It get full even after i vacuum with normal vacuum. So it must be picking diet that i didn’t. Under the furniture and in some crannies. Perhaps.It runs around and then goes back to charge with no troubles.And now cons:It’s not very smart. It runs into furniture so the time and had trouble getting away. It gets really tried under a normal chair. It gets traped on trasholds.The algorithm for finding path is a joke. It will go 10x to the same spot but totally ignores 50% of the room and just leave the dirt there.You have to clean the floor from everything loose. Plants, rags, cables. Even piece of wood or a screwdriver could trap it out block it.It’s suction power is a joke. As is overall cleaning capability. It has problem to pick up simple seeds spoiled on the floor. In other words, you’ll have to vacuum after the robot of you want the room clean. Which kind of deeds the purpose.

This vacuum works very well and the battery lasts long enough to run through our condo at MAX suction without having to recharge.The remote control isnât reliable, I may try replacing the batteries that the unit came with.The Euereka robot skill necessary to work with Alexa is NOT available for activation by Canadian Amazon users, only American Amazon customers. I tried to get access to the skill by creating an American Amazon account, but that didnât work either.,I spoke with the Amazon.ca technical support and the technician tried to help, but he wasnât able to. Amazon wasnât aware that the skill wasnât available to Canadian customers and are trying to make it available. Works well with my iPhone app though.UPDATE: Jan 9, 2021Unfortunately, I was unable to get the skill made available to Canadian customers.I called Eureka and after quite some time waiting while the Service Representative tried to find an answer, she eventually came back on the phone and told me that it was a problem Amazon.ca had to rectify, not Eureka. She apologized for the inconvenience and the call was ended.Ugh.I had waited a little longer to see if Amazon Canada would release the skill, but it never happened.I started to worry about running out of time to return the vacuum , as the Alexa skill IS something I want.As the days passed, I noticed many vacuums have replacement parts available like brushes, rollers, bags, etc. I looked to see if Eureka parts are easy to order.It turns out that you canât get THOSE without ordering them for the US either, which means long wait times for delivery, not to mention the extra shipping charges!I decided enough was enough. Time to return the vacuum before it was too late.Amazon, as usual, was Amazing! They agreed to the return. I packed the vacuum and used the provided shipping label. Within minutes of dropping it off at my local UPS Store, I received a notification saying my refund has been sent to my credit card.By the way, no shipping fees for the return either!Amazon rocks! Eureka, well, not so much.We decided to get the iRobot Roomba i6+. It has a significantly higher price tag, but with the auto-emptying base, intelligent mapping, voice command (I can even set the vacuum to operate when weâre not home), etc., it is SO WORTH IT!!!

I bought the Eureka Groove Robot Vacuum Cleaner for my mother to help her to get to clean hard to reach areas of the house. Specifically under beds and furniture. The first thing you need to do is make sure that the vacuum has enough light for the front sensors can see obstructions. It first goes randomly around to figure out objects in a room. Then goes around them and clean the rest of the area. After some considerable use I recommend wiping dust on the front sensors to keep detection to the maximum. For people who have “debris left behind” don’t forget to clean or replace the filter in the collection canister. The suction is coming from through the filter to be contained there. The app is not available for Alexa in Canada for years. As well as changing Alexa’s voice to male option. I guest Amazon has forgotten Canadian customers; so I would think twice before buying echo smart products. I bought a Google Nest Hub recently to replace my echo. The app is fully supported on Android no matter where you are. As an improvement, I wish that Eureka would add room mapping in the app. Overall pretty satisfied with the performance and operability of the Groove.

Overall not a very well made or thought out design, for the life of me I can not understand why they didn’t put 2 brushes (one on either side of machine), Pretty poor as the machine has to do twice the work. Not to mention that the motor just stopped working, I have had this for 3 years so I expected a lot better machine for the price…I think I’ll stick with my Lefant robot vacuum. At least that is higher quality
